Felicia Forte paints live portrait models in broad powerful strokes utilizing a limited Zorn palette. Students find Felicia to be a confident and unique teacher. Felicia has developed into a brilliant, prolific and original young painter. Students will paint from one new model each day and observe demonstrations and personal attention from Felicia.
This oil painting workshop teaches a single-session alla-prima portrait technique using a traditional limited palette. Over the three days of this workshop Felicia will do in-depth morning demonstrations and exercises designed to illustrate the fundamentals of Felicia's technique. Afternoons will be spent painting the model with Felicia's guidance.
These exercises will culminate in painting the model using the Zorn palette, a muted version of a primary color palette, allowing for ease in color harmony. Felicia will demonstrate each day of class as well as offer each student personal critique and advice
