Every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm-4pm check out what we're building, making, and creating in our Open Studio hours! NUMU's Open Studio offers visitors of all ages a hands-on opportunity to explore, discover and create. Ages 4+, no new entry after 3:30pm. All children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. 

Let the good times roll, Mardi Gras-MakerSpace style! Bring in a shoebox to decorate your own mini-Mardi Gras float, make a mask, and create a special jester hat to wear for Mardi Gras.

Mardi Gras Special: Face-painting Mardi Gras Masks with local artist, Sarah Joy

Sara Joy has always enjoyed celebrating Mardi Gras with her New Orleans-based family. She studied fine art in college, specializing in acrylic painting. Several years ago she discovered the joy of painting on skin, and will be offering fantastic painted Mardi Gras masks for workshop participants. Additional $5 fee per mask.
