How to Prepare for San Francisco National Portfolio Day 2018

National Portfolio Day (NPD) is a free informational event for students who are considering applying to art college. The event will be held in at California College of the Arts (CCA) in San Francisco on January 14, 2018, 12-4pm. NPD offers participants the opportunity to present their work to college admissions officers, and receive important feedback on preparing for the college application process.
NUMU is pleased to collaborate with California College of the Arts (CCA) and offer a preparatory program on November 25, 1-2pm at New Museum Los Gatos (NUMU). The program, lead by CCA Admissions staff, provides a comprehensive array of tutorials, one-on-one critiques and guided lessons to ensure students are fully prepared for National Portfolio Day.
ArtNow Exhibition + Program
Learn more about NUMU's annual exhibition and program, ArtNow, an annual Santa Clara County arts exhibition and educational program. ArtNow offers an opportunity for high school student artists from Palo Alto to Gilroy to gain real-world experience at creating and presenting artwork in a competitive environment.
Application to the Art Now exhibition is open to all Santa Clara County high school students, grades 9-12 (public, private, and homeschooled). The application deadline for student submissions is January 26, 2018, and the exhibition opens on March 29, 2018 with an awards ceremony offering professional development scholarships and awards in several categories, including painting, watercolor and drawing, sculpture, and video art.
