ArtNow 2020 Theme
W A T E R
Water. One of Earth’s most important elements. Along with being essential for all life, water is a source of pleasure. It is exalted in religion and throughout history it has been a route for trade and travel. Even the name of our region - The Bay Area - expresses our geographic connection to water and informs our community identity.
NUMU invites Santa Clara County high school students (public, private or home schooled) to create a piece inspired by the theme. Students must create an original work of art, in their choice of media, in response to this theme.
