This workshop is about discovering possibilities and exploring a variety of ways to interpret one idea or one image. By selecting and experimenting with different techniques, methods and materials such as ink, pastel, water-based paints, charcoal and collage, students can build a small series of works that are thematically related and technically diverse.
About the Instructor
Andrea Borsuk is a painter and mixed media artist whose work explores notions of time and destiny. She holds an MFA from Columbia University and a BA from UC Santa Cruz. She is an Art Instructor at Cabrillo College and leads private workshops to Tuscany, Italy and Santa Cruz, Ca, where she lives. She is a recipient of the Rydell Visual Arts Fellowship. Her solo and group exhibition venues include: NUMU New Museum of Los Gatos, The Riverside Museum of Art, The Nevada Museum of Art, Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History, San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, and the Berkeley Art Center. Her work is in numerous private collections.
