Elizabeth Zanzinger is rapidly becoming one of the bay area's most popular young masters. Her workshops fill quickly and create a special occasion for the local art community. Elizabeth is highly skilled in fine realism to painterly impressionism with commanding virtuosity. Two models in two days with Elizabeth will be a weekend to remember.
This two-day oil painting workshop will focus on specific observational skills to help you create more efficient, fun, and accurate alla-prima portrait paintings from life.
Elizabeth will demonstrate time-saving techniques with a limited contemporary palette to achieve lively results that reflect the sitter’s uniqueness. Emphasis will be placed on drawing and fresh color, with demos and helpful individual feedback throughout.
Special attention will also be given to portrait anatomy and the dynamics of color and light. Each day we will work with a new model so we can practice achieving the individual characteristics that lead to a solid likeness and a successful portrait study.
