A benefit for NUMU Circle Members
We'll be kicking it off off with an art filled day in Santa Cruz featuring artists who exhibited at NUMU. Artist Andrea Borsuk will open her home studio and garden. We'll learn more about her art and art practice while enjoying light refreshments and good conversation. Then we’ll venture downtown to view the latest work of artist duo, Rachel and Rigel Hunter at RREVV Gallery and sip wine generously provided by Soif Wine Bar. Afterwards, guests may want to get a late lunch and enjoy other artistic points of interest. The Museum of Art and History (MAH), also located downtown, hosts rotating exhibitions and has bountiful casual dining options in the adjacent Abbott Square.

About Andrea Borsuk
Andrea Borsuk is a painter whose work explores notions of journey, time and destiny. She holds an MFA from Columbia University and a BA from UC Santa Cruz. She is an Art Instructor at Cabrillo College and holds private Mixed Media workshops in Santa Cruz and Tuscany, Italy. She is the 2010/2011 recipient of the Rydell Visual Arts Fellowship. Her solo and group exhibition venues include: The Riverside Museum of Art, The Nevada Museum of Art, San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History, and the Monterey Peninsula Community College Art Gallery. Her work is in numerous private collections.
About REVV - Rachel & Rigel Hunter
Artists Rachel and Rigel Hunter design furniture and lighting together in their Santa Cruz studio. In December 2021, they opened RREVV Gallery on Pacific Avenue. RREVV Gallery is an artist-run gallery featuring new art and different guest artists every month. In addition to local guest artists, gallery founders and artist/designers Rachel and Rigel Hunter showcase their own work including Rachel’s bespoke lighting, Rigel’s metal sculpture, collaborative custom furniture and lighting projects, and their line of leather handbags and accessories shown and sold exclusively through the gallery.
Each year, NUMU offers a series of studio visits where we will be able to appreciate art together exclusively for Circle Members. We’re thrilled to welcome our circle members to the studio of artist Kiana Honarmand, one of the artists from NUMU’s 2023 exhibition (Un)familiar. This event will include our annual Director’s Circle artwork distribution!
