Join NUMU this March to commemorate Irish-American Heritage Month through the cultural art of Celtic knots. The diversity of Celtic knots throughout woven, rock-carved, painted, and printed works is a timeless and ongoing practice. Visitors will be able to use pipe cleaners to make three types of Celtic knots: the triquesta, heart, and dara knots. Afterwards, check out the Los Gatos History Project: Uncovering Untold Stories and learn about the Irish and Irish-American history of Los Gatos.
The Monthly Craft is a drop-in, self-led artmaking activity that complements NUMU’s current exhibitions or seasonal themes. Activities are designed for a wide range of participants. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Please leave the space as you found it for others to enjoy.
