NUMU is pleased to present New Additions 2026, on view for a limited time and highlighting more than five years of donations of artwork and historical artifacts to our institution. Through the generosity of our community of regional and exhibiting artists, collectors, and keepers of history, we carefully and thoughtfully build our permanent art and history collections to preserve and maintain them for generations to come.
Since our founding in 1965, NUMU has maintained a collection, including many historic artifacts and documents relating to Los Gatos and the families, businesses, and leaders that have contributed to our town. Additionally, our art collection includes local and regional artworks from around the Bay Area and beyond. We continue to build our collections with the guidance of our Collections Committee – comprised of staff and board members – with the purpose of representing the artists of our region and augmenting our knowledge of Los Gatos history.
In the past five years, NUMU has also undergone a huge collection-cataloging initiative, making nearly all objects and artworks in the collection available to view online on CatalogIt. We invite our community to peruse our collections online and learn more.
