Friday, May 8: We have some very special announcements to share with you this week! We are honored to present this year’s award winning exhibiting artists in ArtNow, our annual high school juried exhibition, now in its 9th year. Each year we grant over $10,000 in awards. Please read on to see the work of this year’s deserving emerging creative talent.
Friday, May 1: We have encouraged community members to Create in Place. Now we invite you to share your creations with us to be featured as part of an upcoming exhibition at NUMU! Also this week, enjoy a new video featuring another simple collage technique in our Cut + Paste demo series. And, check out what one of our upcoming exhibiting artists has been creating in place.
Friday, April 24: This week is all about finding inspiration through our permanent collection. Take a tour of last spring’s exhibition, New Additions 2019 featuring selected works from our art collection. Take a peek under the hood of a compelling artwork from our collection, Hope, by George Riviera. Then, check out how one of our team members was inspired to embody a bigger than life character from our art collection.
Friday, April 17: We’re celebrating the artistic practice of collage. Get inspired from our Director’s Circle artist, Andrea Borsuk. Watch and learn some simple collage techniques from our Education Programs Director, Eli Torres. Tune into our Instagram for the Cut and Paste Collage Circle Takeover, and please share what you create.
Friday, April 10: We are spreading hope in this week’s edition. Take a virtual tour of In the Artist's Studio: The Workshop of Amnon and Avshalom Weinstein and The Violins of Hope, watch the sold-out Violins of Hope performance, and create a violin that tells your story.
Friday, April 3: Brighten up your home, and learn how to create a floral centerpiece with Kat from Kat's Flower Affair. Take inspiration from artist Luz Donahue. And when your done, explore one of our new shows and take a trip around the world!
Friday, March 27: Take an exhibition tour of "On the Shoulders of Giants: Selected Works from NUMU's Painting & Drawing Program:” get pro tips and tutorials from Atelier Director, Gabriel Coke; tricks to STOP touching your face; and, a reason to GIVE.
Friday, March 20: Featuring ArtNow, NUMU’s Annual High School exhibition; creating in place with Betty Franks Krause; and a reason to GIVE.
