DESCRIPTION:
Organized in collaboration with the Los Gatos Library, explore Los Gatos history while you sketch objects from NUMU's extensive collection of objects and artifacts. Artists of all levels are welcome to join this informal session and materials will be provided.

Build, paint, and assemble your own hanging fish sculpture with Jess Gilliam in this two-day, creatively open-ended paper maché workshop at NUMU!.
On day one, you will be guided through the structure, shaping, and assembly of your paper maché sculpture. Your piece will dry overnight at NUMU.
On day two, you will paint and walk away with a finished piece that feels both sculptural and playful.
Interested in trying figure drawing for the first time or brushing up on your skills? Join us at NUMU for a self-guided figure drawing session! The session will take place in our Flick Drawing Studio with a live model, easels, newsprint paper, and pencils. You are welcome to bring additional materials.

Did you know Yehudi Menuhin, the world-renowned violinist, lived in Los Gatos? Join us for a talk by musician Robert Huguenor, as we learn about Menuhin's life and music.
Learn how to capture the magical light of the Central Coast in oils with local landscape painter, Victoria Galitzine. This class will cover the basics of solvent-free oil painting utilizing the expressive “alla prima” (wet-on-wet) technique. Victoria will guide you step-by-step on how to layer oils using quick, intuitive brushwork. All ability levels are welcome. You will leave with your very own impressionist-style oil seascape. All materials provided.
