Were you living or working in Los Gatos in the 1960s? New Museum Los Gatos (NUMU) is asking our community to loan photos, stories, objects, or momentos from life in Los Gatos in the 1960s to be featured in an exhibition celebrating the museum’s 60th anniversary.
Join us at the museum to learn more about the history of the earthquakes and fires in Los Gatos.
We will be joined by historian Bill Wulf, who will share stories, including his role in helping pinpoint the location of the fault during the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake here in Los Gatos.
Meet us at New Museum Los Gatos, where the NUMU team will arrange a (fake decor) skeleton and a (decor) dog skeleton along with a few spooky objects from our collection for children ages 7-16 to sketch on black or gray paper with white drawing pencils. All materials are provided. Registration opens 3 weeks prior to the event.
Join us to celebrate our two newest exhibitions, Stitches & Wiggles and Encounters. You'll have the opportunity to engage with these stunning artworks, enjoy refreshments, good company, and remarks from the artists and curator!

The railroad was a vital part of everyday life in Los Gatos for many decades. Climb aboard as we learn its history, and also hear from featured guest speaker, Dr. Roland Hsu, Director of Research, Chinese Railroad Workers in North America Project at Stanford University.
KCAT TV and Radio is hosting its 4th annual Oktoberfest right here in Los Gatos! Enjoy a day of festivities all supporting KCAT programs & services.

NUMU invites our community to bring in their personal vintage and historic (pre-1950) garments and accessories to learn — directly from Bob Haven — more about the fabrics, techniques, time periods, and fashion history.
Bob Haven, miniature artist, Tambour Beading expert and historic clothing aficionado will spend several days delving into the NUMU collections, sharing his expertise regarding our vintage and historic clothing and accessories. In this program, he will share what he learned!

The pageant ran from 1919 to 1930, with performances, games, parades, and more! If the weather's good, we may even take a look at the old Pageant Grounds!
