Artist Talk & Demonstration with Exhibiting Artist, Charlotte Kruk

Artist Talk & Demonstration with Exhibiting Artist, Charlotte Kruk

Saturday, August 24 | 1-2pm
FREE for members | FREE with admission

Don't miss what will surely be an entertaining and educational Talk and Demonstration by the one and only In the Artist's Studio exhibiting artist, Charlotte Kruk, AKA KrukTart.

Glue?…never! STITCHING is the bond Kruk utilizes to cohesively unify the myriad pieces constituting her wearable sculpture. KrukTart, the architect behind the sensational candy wrapper couture, will unveil her methodology from inception to creation. Delight in this insightful demonstration as we journey through the fabrication exercises Kruk undertakes while transforming detritus into diamonds. (well, maybe not literal diamonds). Come out and see the most unconventional use of the sewing machine your grandma never considered.

Kruk is the featured artist in the museum's In the Artist's Studio exhibition series that supports the museum’s mission to share stories in new ways. Through this program, NUMU offers insight into the practice of artmaking and shares with the community the ingenuity, intelligence and empathy that goes into the creative process.
