Stitches & Wiggles: Unraveled and Reimagined Mixed Media Art by Jody Alexander and Thomas Campbell invites us to participate in an object-based dialogue that speaks to the similarities of vision, intention, and ways of creating.  Alexander and Campbell gather materials to reuse, repurpose, repair, mend, patch, or stitch together to make compelling artworks that use the language of our time.

As demonstrated in Encounters: Photography of r.r. jones, the well-traveled fine arts photographer captures images that reveal the dynamic and lively curiosity that has sustained his creativity and informed his generous worldview. Featured in his exhibition are portraits from spiritual journeys to Bali, Southeast Asia, and Mexico, where he encountered and connected with spiritual leaders and everyday people in memorable and soulful ways. These photographs reveal the emotional depth, observant eye, and skilled technical skills of r.r. jones.

Rainbow on Los Gatos features 17 unique artworks of silk embroidered rainbows on found photographs and vintage postcards. Each piece is intended to remind the viewer of our connection to this place, its past, and renew our commitment to its future.

The Greater Bay Area Open (GBAO) is a fine art only competition and exhibition presented by the Los Gatos Art Association (LGAA), designed to promote fine art and artists from the greater Bay Area. Spanning twelve Bay Area counties, from Sonoma to Monterey, this juried event draws artists to compete for awards and recognition but also brings exposure to respected jurors, galleries, and art collectors from the region.

Three artists explore the cyclical nature of life, nature, and energy and how each of these forces contributes to personal healing. Through their work, these artists delve into the subtleties of natural phenomena, reflecting on the constantly changing landscapes of both the external world and inner self.

This exhibit will explore historical events in the South Bay LGBTQ+ community from the 1970s to 1980s through the lens of photojournalist Ted Sahl.

ArtNow is an annual juried Santa Clara County high school art exhibition and educational program, presented by New Museum Los Gatos (NUMU). The ArtNow Exhibition and supporting programs offer opportunities for high school student artists, from Palo Alto to Gilroy, to gain real-world experience in participating in a juried museum exhibition. Each year, a new theme is chosen for the exhibition and students are asked to submit works based on that theme.

Carly Slade presents miniature, mixed-media vignettes of real-world structures as they appear in digital images from satellite mapping cameras. Composed of ceramics, building materials, and needlework, the layers of planning and effort within these miniature artworks mirror the human effort and experiences that activate the location in the real world.

Mitra Fabian creates a surreal and somber mixed-media installation that intersects the natural world, built environments, climate change, and human interference. This project will include Fabian’s recognizable organic sculptural forms as well as the use of resistors, capacitors, and diodes. But it will also reveal animal elements and a wooden shelter ravaged by fire. This installation is a contemplative conglomeration of her six years living in the Santa Cruz Mountains where she and her wife encountered first-hand experiences of the CZU fires, catastrophic rain, wind, and downed trees.
