The MakerSpace at NUMU offers youth-oriented art programming for kids ages 4+ that seeks to expand knowledge, creativity, community awareness, and ingenuity. MakerSpace programs challenge kids to learn, become more culturally aware, and build community connections in a unique museum setting.

  • Open Studio: Saturdays 12pm-4pm A new project every week that invites kids and families to explore and create art.

  • Family Art Days: Full day, seasonally themed fun with a variety of art projects for the entire family.

  • MakerSpace Birthday Parties: Ages 4 - 12 Have a birthday party as unique as you, with crafts and games in a fun MakerSpace setting! Lots of party themes to choose from!

  • Scouts Badge Program: Badge programs for Cub Scouts, Brownies, and Junior Girl Scouts with museum tours and specially designed art projects. **NEW this year!**

  • Camp NU:  Offers kids ages 6-12 the chance to make new friends and learn new skills in our maker and art-focused themed camps!

  • MakerSpace Crafty Readers Book Club: Ages 6-11. Reading made awesome in a super fun group setting. Exciting reads, reading journals, and awesome craft projects. Join the Club! **NEW this year!**
